Join NECA Safety’s Wes Wheeler and Mike Starner as they discuss protective clothing requirements for hi-visibility garments, especially in an FR or arc-rated environment.

Speakers:

  • Wes Wheeler, executive director of safety for NECA
    Wes Wheeler, SMS, is NECA’s executive director of safety and is a committee member on NFPA 70, the National Electrical Code, CMP-7 and a former technical committee member on NFPA 70E. He also serves as an employer representative on the OSHA ACCSH Committee.

  • Michael Starner, executive director of outside line safety for NECA
    Mike Starner is NECA's executive director of outside line safety for NECA. He has 29 years of experience in the electric utility industry. He is active on the OSHA ET&D Strategic Partnership Steering Committee and sits on several industry focused boards, including the Electrical Industry Certification Association (EICA) and the National Cable Splicing Certification Board Inc. (NCSCB).

  • Rich Lippert, VP of Technical Sales for GlenGuard
    Rich Lippert, QSSP, is GlenGuard’s vice president of Technical Sales. Rich’s responsibilities include sales outside the U.S., along with using his technical expertise to work with closely with customers and influence new product development for the GlenGuard’s AR/FR fabric product lines. Rich’s previous experience in sales and manufacturing helps GlenGuard identify market needs and accelerate product development. Rich is a certified QSSP (Qualified Safety Sales Professional) and is involved in a variety of safety and business organizations including NFPA, ASSP and NSC, and serves on 3 ASTM committees: D13, F18 and F23. Rich graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
