Teledyne Flir’s Extech 380396 high-voltage digital insulation tester features several measurements including polarization index, dielectric absorption ratio and AC/DC voltage to 600V with a min/max function. It also has peak and relative functions, as well as a 1- to 15-minute timer function for IR measurements. 

Amprobe's VPC-10A handheld residential and commercial voltage and continuity tester measures AC and DC voltage in circuitry and its components, including outlets, light fixtures and extension cords, while testing the continuity of fuses and light bulbs. Seven LED indicators differentiate voltage levels.

Klein Tools’ noncontact voltage tester detects 70V–1,000V AC in cables, cords, circuit breakers and more. It is dustproof and waterproof with an IP-67 rating and 9.8-foot drop protection. The bright green LED indicates the tester is powered on, and, when voltage is detected, a bright red LED illuminates and an audible tone will sound.

Triplett Test Equipment & Tools’ HVD132 noncontact high AC voltage detector features two voltage ranges, allowing users to check and detect live high AC voltage cables up to 132 kV or perform noncontact detection of low AC voltages, less than 50V, in cables, wall outlets, circuit breakers and more.

Amprobe’s GP-2A ground resistance resistivity tester measures earth ground resistance—three-point (fall of potential) or two-point tests. Automatic voltage measurement prevents false measurements, and it automatically applies three testing frequencies for accurate readings.

Senko’s smart checker MPO tester 12 fiber verifies the polarity for 8F and 12F MPO assemblies to TIA 568 methods A, B and C. It tests angled and flat MPO assemblies. A full charge yields 5 hours of continuous service. 

Ideal Industries’ 61-657 dual-range noncontact voltage tester can sustain a drop from 6.6 ft. and provides noncontact voltage detection through an antenna enclosed in plastic at the tip of the tester, which senses the presence of the electromagnetic field around live conductors. The tip is illuminated by a green LED when powered on and switches to a red flashing LED and audible beep that increase in frequency as the voltage level increases.

AEMC’s CA7028 wire mapper is a hand-held structured cable mapping and troubleshooting tester. It detects open circuit pairs, shorts, crossed wires, crossed pairs, reversed pairs, split pairs and shield faults. If the main unit is plugged into an operational RJ-45 socket, it will give a continuous warning tone and display if a telephone voltage is present on any of the pins.

Amprobe’s DGC-1000A clamp ground resistance tester has a continuity beep if the resistance is lower than 40 ohms. It provides True-RMS current measurement including leakage current. Users can select high or low Ohm audible alarms. There is an onboard memory and data logging feature.

Fluke’s ST120 GFCI socket tester checks that each wire in the outlet is properly connected to the building’s electrical system. It has bright LEDs to verify correct wiring or identify common wiring problems in standard and GFCI outlets. With the chart on the tester, users can identify one of six wiring conditions for the outlet. 

Fiber Instrument Sales’ OF1000UF visual fault locator identifies breaks and macro bends. It is for single- and multimode applications and is designed for fiber end identification. It features 1 mW fiber-coupled laser, 650 nm visible red light and a protective rubber boot.

AEMC’s CA7028 Wire Mapper Pro is a handheld structured cable-mapping and troubleshooting tester. It detects open circuit pairs, shorts, crossed wires, crossed pairs, reversed pairs, split pairs and shield faults. 

Megger’s MRCT relay and current transformer tester is used to perform demagnetization, ratio, saturation, winding resistance, polarity, phase deviation and insulation tests on current transformers. It calculates ratio errors, saturation curves and knee points. It provides a microprocessor-controlled variable voltage and current output as well as precision instrumentation.

Klein Tools’ HVNCVT-1 dual-range, high-voltage tester checks for the presence of voltage in overhead conductors or finds faults in cables. Audible and visual signals indicate the presence of voltage, and the tester is water-resistant.

Milwaukee Tool’s 2210-20 fluorescent lamp and ballast tester kit can detect failures in seconds. The nonconductive antenna sleeve allows for safe testing, and visual and audible tool feedback confirms testing.
The built-in LED flashlight illuminates dark workspaces and works after a 6½-ft. drop.

AEMC’s 275HVD noncontact high-voltage tester can be used indoors and outdoors. It offers a self-test function that works through an actual sensing circuit; it does not just turn on a light and buzzer. As the sensor is moved closer to the voltage-carrying conductor, its head picks up the radiated electric field.

Greenlee’s noncontact voltage detector features a dual tip to detect voltage in tamper‑resistant and conventional 15A and 20A 120V outlets. The patented, automatic self‑test verifies circuit integrity, and there is an audible and visual alert when voltage is present. It can be used to detect voltage in outlets, lighting fixtures and more.

Amprobe’s 110–125V AC, 0.3W ST-102B receptacle tester is designed to test GFCI breakers for proper wiring and operation. The light indicators show common wiring problems, and the GFCI circuit trips to confirm the tester is working. 

Platinum Tools’ TPS200C PoE tester requires no batteries and can be used inline with an actual PoE device to measure current flow or by itself in powered device simulation mode to determine the maximum power available from the PoE power source. It measures DC voltage from 3.5V–56V and power up to 280W. There is an automatic mode, polarity detection and a scrolling OLED display.

Megger’s TPT320 voltage tester features LCD and LED displays that provide AC and DC voltage measurement from 12V to 690V. The LED torch allows safe work in poorly lit environments. The phase rotation indication feature is simplified, avoiding the crossing of test probes.

AEMC’s C.A 6116N multifunction installation tester is designed for sectors including industrial, residential and others. It measures continuity, resistance, insulation, earth and selective earth, loop impedances, and type A and AC RCDs, as well as voltage, frequency and more. Flir’s VS290-32 industrial thermal and visual videoscope is designed to find hidden dangers in difficult-to-access locations, especially underground electrical distribution vaults. It features a 160-by-120 true thermal imager to catch hot spots before a failure occurs. The 2 m camera probe enables users to inspect through small openings.

Greenlee’s CS-5000 circuit seeker features an auto-gain option to automatically seek the strongest signal, identifying the target breaker. It supports transmitter-to-receiver distances up to 4 miles for closed-circuit tracing. It is rated for 600V AC/DC.

Klein Tools’ 1,000V AC dual-range noncontact voltage tester detects voltage with simultaneous visual and audible voltage indicators. The auto power-off feature conserves and extends battery life. The screw-thread battery cap with O-ring ensures protection against dust and water ingress. The green light indicates no voltage. It has a pocket clip.

Triplett Test Equipment & Tools’ ET100 GFCI receptacle tester features a push-button test to help validate that GFCI receptacles are operating properly. The color-coded, three-light display helps users pinpoint any one of five potential wiring issues: open ground, open neutral, reversed hot and ground, open hot and reversed hot and neutral. Codes are indicated on both sides of the tester to ensure easy viewing, regardless of the receptacle’s orientation.

Southwire Tool and Equipment’s 40012S receptacle tester identifies the most common wiring faults associated with 120V outlets. Greenlee’s handheld ground-resistance tester reads ground resistance down to 0.10 Ohms. The impedance function is capable of testing four separate frequencies: 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 128 Hz and 2,083 Hz. It operates in temperatures between –4 to 131°F. It includes a calibration loop, and it stores measurements in its memory.

Platinum Tools’ MapMaster mini cable tester detects faults and locations of RJ-45 network cables. Good terminations, causes of faults and locations of cables are displayed on an LCD display. A set of five mapping remotes is included for locating cables terminated in wall jacks or patch panels. A built-in tone generator with 4 different tone combinations can be used with a tone probe to detect where a cable is routed and the location of the end of the cable.

Fluke’s 1AC II noncontact voltage tester features a loud beeper that will sound, and the tip will glow red when voltage is detected. The wide voltage detection range allows for use in a broad range of applications. It is rated to CAT IV 1,000V for added protection.

Megger’s LT300 high current loop tester offers high current loop testing over a wide range of frequencies and supply voltages with a two-wire operation. It has a large clear display that aids visibility in poor conditions. It features a 16–400 Hz operation.

Klein Tools’ ET40 AC/DC voltage tester features LEDs to indicate the type and level of voltage detected. It is designed to withstand a 9.9-ft. drop. It indicates polarity when measuring DC voltages, and it powers off automatically after 2 minutes of nonuse to conserve battery life. The built-in test lead holders are on the sides of tester, and the clip secures the tester to the user’s pocket.

Fluke Corp.’s T6-1,000 electrical tester measures voltage to 1,000V AC through the open fork without test leads. There is no need to open covers or remove wire nuts and it can measure voltage and current. It takes measurements by sliding a single wire into the open fork. The hold button temporarily freezes the reading for easy viewing. On wires up to AWG 4/0, it carries up to 200A.

AEMC’s 6424 ground resistance tester is designed for testing commercial, residential and light industrial grounding systems. It features an automatic verification of the injector auxiliary rod connection. It measures voltage up to 600V AC/DC. The two- and three-point testing enables measuring of continuity, bonding and ground resistance.

Megger’s DET24C clamp-on ground-resistance tester has flat core ends to prevent dirt buildup and a built-in filter function for electrically noisy environments. It has time- and date-stamped stored test results and ultralong battery life.
