Plasti-Bond, part of the Robroy family of products, provides proven performance and maximum protection for electrical raceway systems in demanding and corrosive environments. For over 50 years, Plasti-Bond has been at the forefront of electrical product excellence; we pioneered the first PVC-coated rigid metal conduit systems, and today, we continue to redefine industry standards with our commitment to quality and innovation that helps you get the job done right every time.

Plasti-Bond isn’t just a product—it is a key link in a system designed to beat the high cost of corrosion damage. Our conduit and fittings are engineered to withstand the harshest conditions, providing a long-lasting shield against corrosion. Readily available in trade sizes ½ inch through 6 inches, and featuring a robust 40 mil exterior PVC coating and a 2 mil interior urethane coating, Plasti-Bond sets the gold standard for durability and reliability. Our comprehensive line of PVC-coated conduit, fittings and accessories undergoes rigorous testing to ensure compliance with UL 6, NEMA RN-1, ANSI C80.1, UL 1203 and ETL PVC-001 standards.

The innovations across our complete product line have been developed through years of design, research and customer feedback. Our Form 8 Fittings, featuring a patented interlocking V-groove, boast a UL Type 4X listing and an IEC IP69 rating, ensuring unparalleled protection against corrosive elements. The sealing sleeves found on all our fittings are sized to fit tightly over assembled coated conduit to keep corrosive elements from the threaded joints. The PVC-Coated Sealing Locknut makes eliminating thread exposure when transitioning to approved non-PVC-coated products such as Schedule 80 PVC conduit a breeze. The PVC-Coated SpeedCouple takes cost and back-killing labor out of joining two pieces of conduit or elbows by eliminating the need to rotate one or both pieces, especially in tight spaces. More recent innovations, like the PVC-Coated Reducing Bushing and the PVC-Coated Liquidtight Transition Adapter, make it easier than ever to meet your specific installation needs while maintaining a completely sealed system.

Plus, in an industry first, Plasti-Bond sealing fittings, outlet boxes, EC series flexible couplings and unions are all UL 1203 listed for safety in hazardous locations. Verifying that a product is UL 1203 listed is simple—just look for the red metal tag. This tag is unmistakable, as it is permanently attached to the hazardous location products manufactured in accordance with UL requirements. UL 1203 listed products are tested to ensure that they maintain the original intent of the uncoated hazardous location fitting and do not disrupt the flame paths, so you can rest assured that the Plasti-Bond hazardous location products you install in your system are proven to perform to the highest standards in the industry. Plasti-Bond also features the smart UL certification mark and badge that offer convenient access to product information. The imprinted QR code instantly connects to the UL Smart Marks hub, providing vital information immediately on site.

Remember, if there is no UL tag, the product you’re using is NOT UL Listed.

As an additional safety method, Plasti-Bond’s patented P5SA™ validation system on sealing fittings visually confirms that our urethane-coated plugs correctly engage the first time, every time. Our sealing fittings feature a beveled edge around the plugs that helps you ensure you have the full five threads of engagement per the National Electrical Code, which is critical for safe installation and a proper flame path. If the plug does not protrude above the beveled edge, you can have peace of mind knowing that you have achieved proper installation.

The Plasti-Bond difference doesn’t stop there. While all major PVC-coated conduit brands comply with standards for safety as established by UL 6, ETL PVC-001 validates coating performance. If your raceway conduits don’t carry an ETL PVC-001 verified label, those systems may be at risk for premature product failure. Our manufacturing process ensures maximum bonding reliability of the PVC coating to the substrate, surpassing industry standards and setting a new precedent for excellence. With a lifespan at least 10 times longer than other brands lacking ETL PVC-001 verification, Plasti-Bond consistently earns its ETL PVC-001 label by successfully passing the stringent tests required for verification each quarter, setting the benchmark for longevity and reliability and offering peace of mind in even the most demanding environments. You shouldn’t have to compromise when it comes to safety or performance, so we refuse to compromise either.

From its inception and humble beginnings to its present-day status as an industry leader, Plasti-Bond remains unwavering in its commitment to excellence. With a steadfast focus on innovation, quality and safety, we continue to push the boundaries of possibility, setting new standards for electrical raceway systems worldwide. Choose Plasti-Bond today and unlock a world of unparalleled protection, reliability, and peace of mind.
