Schneider Electric’s HEPD50 residential surge-protective device is installed at the load center and uses high-energy suppression circuitry for whole-home surge protection up to 50 kA. Each MOV is individually fused with both thermal and overcurrent fusing. It is connected with No. 12 AWG, stranded wire and has a green LED to mark the status.
