Clearance charts have been designed to communicate fall clearance requirements in an intuitive format.

Petzl’s Absorbica-Y80 double lanyard has a compact energy absorber that is designed for progression on a vertical structure or a horizontal lifeline and when passing intermediate anchors. It has several connection options and can be used with different types of connectors.

Buckingham Manufacturing’s Buck Adjuster lanyard can be used for positioning, suspension and rescue. The twisted eye length-adjusting device enables users to properly orient it on the user’s body belt. It is constructed with an energy-absorbing nylon core, red braided polyester inner core cover and an abrasion- and heat-resistant outer jacket that eliminates the need for a wear guard. 

Werner’s C311100 6 ft. DeCoil lanyard features a deceleration device designed for controlled tearing action to reduce fall arrest force. A polyester webbing allows for easy inspection and provides durability. The snap hook is designed to prevent false engagement.

FallTech’s 82403 ElasTech energy-absorbing lanyard has an elastic leg construction for working lengths from 41/2 to 6 ft. to reduce tripping hazards. The high-modulus internal elastic expands and contracts with users’ movements. It includes an alloy steel snap hook for harness attachment.

Buckingham Manufacturing’s BuckOhm Buckyard stretch lanyard should be used with a full body harness. It is an elastic bungee that expands/stretches when working. A 6-ft. lanyard will expand/stretch when worked and will retract to 44 in., minimizing the length of webbing the end-user has while working.

Buckingham Manufacturing’s 6009-64AA 6-ft. BuckLimiter retractable lanyard features a braking system designed for smooth consistent operation to prevent “jerky” lock-ups. It is resistant to moisture, abrasions, UV light and chemicals. It is made with a durable alloy housing. 

GearWrench’s 88773 single carabiner lanyard with detachable loop features a modular buckle system that allows for quick loop exchanges on the lanyard. The knurled, locking, carabiner screw gate allows for a good grip for locking and unlocking the carabiner. The shock-absorbing lanyard design diminishes force and protects the body if a drop occurs.

The length can be precisely adjusted as necessary for comfortable positioning at the work station. It is available in 2- and 3-meter models. Lanyard length is identified by a color-coded label at the connector end. The ends are equipped with a plastic sheath that holds the connector in place and protects the rope from abrasion.

Petzl’s Grillon adjustable lanyard can be used as a complement to a fall-arrest system or to position around a workstation. Its length can be precisely adjusted for comfortable positioning in single or double mode. It is available in several options and lengths depending on need, and is ANSI compliant.

Knipex Tools’ lanyard kit comes with a lanyard, two carabiners and three adapter straps. The tool lanyard is made of gathered fabric tape that expands approximately 5 ft. when under strain and has a maximum work capacity of 3.3 lbs. The carabiners feature a screw lock, which prevents the gate from opening unintentionally. An adapter strap can be attached directly by the cord to the wrist, belt or the user’s climbing equipment.

3M's Shockwave 2 shock-absorbing lanyard expands to 6 ft. when taut and contracts to 4.5 ft. In the event of a fall, the inner core extends and absorbs energy, limiting the fall-arrest forces. 

Werner’s 15-lb. tool lanyard is designed to protect tools, property and crews working below. It is made of a stretch cord surrounded by durable webbing and can hold up to 15 lbs. It is 30 in. long when retracted and up to 50 in. long when extended. It includes a carabiner and drawstring connection, so it can be attached to a work belt or harness.
