Buckingham Manufacturing’s Buckfold skinning knife is designed for lineworkers and other professionals often wearing gloves. It is made with an ergonomic polypropylene handle and a carbon steel blade with titanium finish coating for sharp precision.

DeWalt’s DWHT10991 push-and-flip folding utility knife enables users to access the blade quickly with a smooth push-and-flip opening for one-handed operation. There is a secure blade lock to help avoid accidental blade release. It features a reversible deep carry wire pocket clip and tether.

Uline’s H-7913 Slice folding utility knife cuts through cartons, vinyl, foam board and more. It has a durable metal handle with finger-loop grip, and it includes one rounded-tip blade. Replacement rounded-tip and pointed-tip blades are available.

Uline’s H-1370 comfort grip safety knife is auto-retractable, and the blade stays out until the thumb is lifted from the slider. It includes one blade that is 0.6 mm thick. There is an open red access point to store the extra blade on the knife tip to change it.

Hultafors’ SPP 18A snap-off knife can be used for cutting plastic, drywall, stripping cables and more. The slim design is tapered for visibility, access and control. It has a symmetric design for right- and left-handed use. The angled tip can measure 45 and 90 degrees.

Jonard Tools’ KN-100INS cable-sheathing knife has a curved blade and insulated handle. It is designed for slitting or cutting the sheathing off cables without damaging the conductor insulation inside. The safety cap and tethering hole allow for easy transport and convenient storage. 

Knipex’s 6½-in. CutiX universal snap knife features a stabilization bar to keep the blade from bending for quicker cutting. There are two separate sliders for the blade and stabilization bar. The blades can be replaced without tools. 

Jonard Tools’ KN-100INS insulated cable sheathing knife is designed with a curved blade and insulated handle. The sharp, dual-sided blade can cut jacket sheath from either side by pushing or pulling through the cable. It is designed for slitting or cutting the sheathing off cables without damaging the conductor insulation inside.

Milwaukee Tool’s Fastback 6-in-1 folding utility knife has a press-and-flip mechanism for one-handed opening. It has a wire stripper, folding screwdriver, extra blade storage, a built-in bottle opener and a fold-out ¼-in. bit holder. It has a metal extension that prevents accidental blade removal and a lanyard hole for tethering.

ToughBuilt’s Hawkbill folding knife features a heavy-duty grip handle and liner lock, which brings the blade back in. It has a curved 3¼-in. titanium-coated blade designed for pull cuts, slicing, cable skinning, VCT tile, linoleum and carpet. It also includes an integrated flat pry tool, perfect for removing small nails and tags.

Stanley’s STHT10479 retractable utility knife features 10 blades that fit inside the metal housing storage compartment. The nose features an exposed blade step to speed up blade placement. There is a push button for blade change.

DeWalt’s DWHT10912 pocket knife offers spring-assisted opening for efficiency. It features a stainless-steel blade for long-lasting sharpness, cuts through various materials and has a bi-material grip for comfort. The blade length is 3.187 in. It features an integrated glass breaker.

Fiskars’ Pro drywall utility knife has a jab saw to punch through drywall, a CarbonMax blade coating, two-blade storage capacity, tabs that ensure the blade won’t pull out when twisted and multiple Softgrip hand grips for better ergonomics. The blade and saw deploy from the same end to prevent accidental release, and the knife hinges open for cleaning.

OLFA’s fully automatic safety knife has a spring-activated, rounded-tip RSKB safety blade that self-retracts when it loses contact with the cutting surface. The built-in safety guard activates when cutting begins and cannot be overridden. It has a fiberglass-reinforced ABS handle and a lanyard hole.

DeWalt’s DWHT10916 Fixed Folding Lockback knife features a push button for quick blade changes, integrated blade storage, and a lanyard hole and integrated belt clip. It has a durable aluminum housing.

Klein Tools’ cable-skinning lockback utility knife has a rubberized handle, a thumb stud and a pocket clip for storage. It comes with three 440A stainless steel sheepsfoot replacement blades that secure in place with a captive screw.

Klein Tools’ electrician’s pocket knife features full-size, fine edge, drop point 440A stainless steel blade; a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver, which folds into the handle; and three wire-stripping notches on the back of the blade. It also has a liner-locking blade and driver to secure the tools when open, a pocket clip and an aluminum handle.


Coast’s DX200 Pro Razor knife can be locked open with the liner lock, which engages automatically when the blade is opened and with a new secondary lock mechanism. It has a stainless-steel blade and a nylon, fiberglass-filled handle.


Milwaukee Tool’s Fastback flip-utility knife with blade storage has a press-and-flip, one-handed opening. It can hold five blades—one in the tool and four in the storage door. It has a 45-degree cut position, a gut hook, a wire-form clip and a wire stripper. It is also available in a compact model, which is designed to fit in pockets, although it contains a standard-size utility blade.
