Weltron’s RJ-45 mod plug crimp tool is pass-through and standard compatible. It is designed for professional network installations and field use. An adjustable sliding plate and connector locking mechanism crimps Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables. 

DeWalt’s DCE310D2 20V crimper has a 180-degree pivoting head and inline body so it can maneuver into tight spaces while allowing for one-handed operation. An integrated LED interface is used to communicate power on/off, cycle completion and if recalibration or service is needed. An LED ring helps illuminate the crimping area when working in dark spaces.

NSi’s EZ-RJPRO crimp tool is designed for pass-through RJ-45 connectors. It is compatible with most RJ-11, RJ-12 and RJ-45 connectors. A zero-flex frame prevents torque loss during the crimping cycle. It also includes a built-in cutter and stripper for flat and round cable. 

Knipex’s 97 72 180 7¼-in. crimping pliers are designed for end sleeves and can be used in nine positions. They can be used to crimp in marked half-round dies for secure connections between a sleeve and the conductor. They are made of high-grade special tool steel.

Jonard Tools’ UC-8039 crimper with fiber optic die is designed for use with FC, ST, SC, LC, SMA and MT-RJ connectors. It crimps fiber optic connector collars with a ratcheting handle and an ergonomically designed angled head. It accommodates fiber optic and coaxial dies.

Klein Tools’ VDV226-005 crimping tool is a modular crimp-connector installation tool for voice and data applications with the Pass-Thru RJ45 connector plug. It crimps and trims pass-thru RJ45 connectors onto paired conductor cables (round STP/UTP cables).

Ridgid’s RE 60-MLR manual hydraulic crimping tool features a very slim crimp head design that can be rotated 330 degrees, allowing easy access to cables even in the most confined panel spaces. It comes with a blow-molded plastic carrying case with space for 13 crimping dies.

Hilti’s NCR 60 D-22 cordless, dieless indent crimper is designed for crimping aluminum and copper cable lugs and connectors, standard-strand aluminum and copper cables and solderless terminals. It runs on the Nuron battery platform. 

Greenlee’s EK1550SLX 15-ton crimper ­features a new C-head design with optimized weight balance for ergonomics. It has a 350-degree head rotation to access tight spaces and a new built-in alignment guide. It is designed for crimping large-capacity conductors and connectors in overhead and underground applications.

ABB’s TBZ3 crimping tool is a ratchet type hand tool. It is front loading and is designed for insulated cord ends between 0.5 and 6 mm². It is 195 mm long and has a mechanism to ensure a full compression. 

Ideal Industries’ ratchet crimp tool crimps insulated or bare terminals and splices on 10–22 AWG wire. The ratchet action prevents release prior to crimp connection to ensure uniform crimps. The vinyl-coated handles provide a solid, comfortable grip, and it includes a release mechanism.

Channellock’s 909CB crimper/cutter has a center cut design aligns cutting edges in the center of the plier head for leverage and to maneuver into tight places. It is designed for use on insulated and noninsulated connections and terminals using 10–22 AWG wire.

Knipex’s 97 51 13 crimping pliers have an adjustable retaining bracket for all common RJ-45 plugs with closed and nonclosed housings. There are dual-crimping points for equal and balanced crimping pressure. It is used for cable cutting and round cable stripping.

Burndy’s PAT46T3 18V DC battery crimper has a Track Trace Transmit intelligence feature to provide crimping information. It features an LED work light and a red/green LED to validate output force. ABB’s 950X series crimping tool features integrated range-taking dies for crimping wire ferrules within the range of 0.14–10.00 mm2/26–8 AWG. It offers a crimping force of 53 kN, and it crimps copper and aluminum conductors.

Hilti’s 60A dieless crimper features a pressure sensor to ensure correct crimping operations. A dieless operation eliminates the risk of wrong die selection. The piston retracts automatically after crimping and cutting. 

Klein Tools’ forged wire crimper with stripper and cutter strips 10-18 AWG stranded wire and crimps 10-22 AWG insulated and noninsulated terminals and connectors. It features a hardened wire cutter in the nose, and the shear cutter below the rivet cuts copper and aluminum wire. The jaw is manufactured from forged steel for durability, and the textured grips enhance dexterity and integrated hang holes. It has tethering capabilities and
molded grips.

Greenlee’s 12-ton crimper features an LED display screen that displays pressure and tool diagnostics with real-time tool feedback. It includes a pressure sensor that monitors the crimping force of each movement and provides the operator with an alert if the force is below specifications. It automatically retracts when the crimping cycle is complete. The forward handle position improves tool balance, and the tacky grip areas make holding the tool easier.

Milwaukee Tool’s M18 Force Logic 15T crimper has an in-line design, a centered grip for one-handed use and a 350-degree rotating head. Klein Tools’ Klein-Kurve wire stripper/crimper multitool is designed for voice/data/video professionals. Platinum Tools’ EZ-RJ12/11 die is used to terminate EZ-RJ12/11 connectors. It is interchangeable and reversible when used with EXO crimp frame. It includes a single-cycle crimp and flush trim, and connectors lock into the tool for correct positioning during crimp. It can also crimp other standard “non-EZ” or pass-through style connectors.

 

Phoenix Contact’s Crimpfox Duo 10 crimping pliers have a rotating die that permits frontal or lateral insertion of ferrules and a locking mechanism keeps the die in position. It self-adjusts to accommodate single and twin ferrules, and 26-8 AWG single wires or 2x20 to 2x12 AWG twin ferrules.

Platinum Tools’ EXO Crimp Frame RJ45 crimp tool can terminate multiple sizes of cables and conductors. The crimp frame has two interchangeable dies that work with EZ-RJ45 (Cat 5E/6) and ezEX-RJ45 (Cat 6/6A) connectors. The connectors lock into the tool for correct positioning during crimp. Automation Direct’s self-adjusting crimping tool is designed for crimping insulated and noninsulated ferrules and wire end sleeves. It is available in square and hexagonal crimp styles, and it features ergonomically shaped handles and a nonslip grip pad for applying pressure against a surface. It adjusts to wire sizes from 26–8 AWG.


Ridgid’s 12-ton, manual, hydraulic crimp tool is designed for wire termination and grounding applications to crimp compression lugs and connectors onto copper, aluminum and ACSR wire and grounding rods. The C-shaped head has a 1.65-in. jaw opening and a 330-degree head rotation. It is large enough for applications up to 1,000 MCM.


Greenlee’s K05-Syncro crimping tool can crimp 8 AWG–1/0 AWG copper. Die size is indicated using color coding on the dies and a lug sizer indicator on the dial. The dial allows for one-handed die change, rotating both dies at the same time. 


Dewalt’s DCE300 U-type died crimper is enabled with the built-in crimp-connect system, which reports and prints the date, time, force and successfully completed crimp cycles as well as the tool’s calibration and service history. An LED panel powers the tool on and off and indicates battery status, cycle completion and whether recalibration or service is needed. It has an LED work light and a shoulder strap.
