AFL’s VF14 visual fault identifier is a low-power model that features an eye-safe, Class 3R visible red laser source of 650 nm. It has an output power of 5 mW with a 10-km range and includes both a 2½ mm and 1¼ mm universal adapter. It is designed to identify poorly mated connectors and identify and trace fibers during activation and installation. It can find faults inside OTDR dead zones.
