Dallas-based SaveOnEnergy.com makes it simple and worthwhile for Texas residents to shop online for lower electric rates. By shopping for competing rates on SaveOnEnergy.com, customers will find exclusive offers as well as other incentives to switch electricity providers. According to the Web site, the entire process, which allows you to switch providers online, takes less than five minutes and does not require the customer to have their previous electric bill information.

Customers who sign up with Direct Energy, which has been running a special offer on SaveOnEnergy.com for some time, receive a $50 American Express gift card, as well as a competitive rate. Commerce Energy recently launched an offer exclusive to the Web site giving a $50 Target gift card to customers who switch. TXU Energy offers new customers up to a $75 credit on their bill for certain competitive offers in North Texas and throughout the state. Another electricity provider, Green Mountain Energy, offers a competitive price for green energy along with a $25 Home Depot gift card.

“Our goal is to provide not only price savings, but also significant and rewarding offers for our customers,” said Brent Moore, founder and CEO of SaveOnEnergy.com. “We’re not just about rates. The success of our site has prompted electricity providers to truly compete for the consumer’s business.”

The Web site—which recently launched its service in Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Ohio—plans to provide similar online offers for small commercial customers by the end of the year. The Web site operators plan to continue their expansion into other states in the near future, promoting a competitive electric utility market.       EC
