Lutron Electronics announced it will visit 10 major markets in 2015 with a seminar to help electrical contractors and engineers better meet the customer needs, while complying with energy codes. The Commercial Energy Codes, Controls and LEDs Seminar will cover design, specification and installation of LED lighting controls.

Electrical contractors and engineers are working on more major renovation and new commercial construction projects that require they be knowledgeable about energy-efficient products, including LED lighting control systems. Lutron’s seminar can help contractors obtain that knowledge.

The free half-day seminar will feature two workshops:

• Codes & Standards—clarifies the core energy code requirements with real world terminology and examples

• Controlling LEDs—explains LED controls, how they operate, and what makes them different and reviews best practices for delivering profitable, world-class LED control projects

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn one American Institute of Architects (AIA) continuing education unit credit.

During each seminar, attendees will meet the Lutron team and learn about new energy-saving products and tools at a Technology Showcase that will run throughout the day. Attendees will also receive a Lutron Caséta Wireless starter kit to experience wireless LED controls in their homes.

The seminar will visit these cities on the following dates:

• Houston, March 24

• Dallas, March 26

• Boston, March 31

• San Francisco, April 21

• Los Angeles, April 23

• Chicago, May 14

• Atlanta, May 21

Lutron also visited Washington, D.C., New York and Miami early in March.
