Objective
The employee in charge shall conduct a job briefing at the start of each work shift, when tasks change and when additional personnel are added to the work crew.
What to include
Job briefings should cover hazards associated with the job, work procedures involved, energy source controls, PPE requirements and the information on the energized electrical work permit.
Content should also include the risk assessments that have been completed prior to beginning any work and may be company-specific for the task or location. Shock and arc flash risk assessments will be used to determine appropriate precautions and distances
for protection of qualified and unqualified person(s) and take into account any specific characteristics and conditions provided by the host/owner prior to work commencing.
