Fire-Lite Offers Free Fire Systems Training

Fire-Lite Alarms provides multiple levels of fire systems training throughout the United States, free of charge. Here is a list of Fire-Lite courses, and descriptions for July, August and September 2007 are as follows:

The MiniScan Academy is a three-day course that covers Fire-Lite’s entire portfolio of fire alarm control panels, from conventional to addressable. Attendees will learn about product features, installation methods, programming and troubleshooting through practical hands-on exercises. Attendees must be familiar with basic fire alarm and system terminology or attend Fire-Lite’s Basic Fire Alarm Technology class prior to this two-day module. Attendees must be present on all three days to be eligible for a BASIC certificate of attendance.

The Super Academy begins one-day with the Basic Fire Alarm Technology course designed for individuals with little or no background in the fire alarm industry. Common fire systems components and the fundamentals of voice evacuation are outlined. Basic NFPA 72 codes and the American Disabilities Act (ADA) also are covered. There are no prerequisites for this course.

On day two, attendees begin a two-day module designed for technicians and sales personnel covering Fire-Lite product selection, features, installation methods, programming and more. Attendees must be familiar with basic fire alarm and system terminology or attend the Basic Fire Alarm Technology class prior to attending this two-day module. Attendees also must be present on days two and three to be eligible for a BASIC certificate of attendance.
