Launched in a partnership between the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Electric TV is a completely video-based Web site providing news and insight into the electrical, information systems and general construction industries.
Its goal is to demonstrate leadership in the electrical construction industry by providing an online “TV station” or network with interesting news items and stories. Much of the content will focus on specific projects where NECA contractors and their IBEW work force had to overcome difficult or unique challenges. In addition to the main video stories, Electric TV also features podcasts of interviews and other news, covering a variety of topics from the electrical and construction industry, written articles, and a subscribe function, which will send an e-mail when the site is updated. Currently, the site publishes bimonthly.
