DuPont Protection Technologies announced the launch of the DuPont Tyvek “Dirty Work” photo contest. This online contest showcases ways in which workers use Tyvek garments to help keep safe and clean while performing the dirtiest jobs. Tyvek provides breathable barrier protection and is used in a myriad of industries ranging from general maintenance to mold remediation to help protect workers from dry particles, aerosols, dirt and grime.

All people who wear Tyvek garments on the job and are over the age of 18 are eligible to enter the contest. To enter, simply take an original photo of yourself in your filthiest state, wearing a Tyvek garment after completing your dirty work. Then submit the photo to the contest website. Dupont will display entrants’ photos in an online gallery.

Entries will be judged based on how well the Tyvek garment and “dirty work” project are portrayed in the photo. The photo should not show or depict a person in danger or in unsafe conditions. Winners will be announced at the National Safety Council Congress and Expo in Philadelphia in November 2011.

The grand-prize winner will receive a NASCAR Racing Experience weekend trip for two. The first runner up will receive a $500 American Express gift card and the next two runners up will each receive a $250 American Express gift card.
