Where do I drill? Take the mystery out of this situation by using a 3-inch galvanized finish nail. Nail it in at an angle at the wall's edge, then look for it in the craw space. The silver color of the galvanized nail will be easier to find with a flashlight. Putting it in at an angle provides you with the right place to drill: It works every time. When finished, just drive the nail the rest of the way in and set with nail set. You will never see it again.
