When you have a 1/2-inch knockout and you need a 3/4-inch one, put a 1/2-inch hole saw on the arbor, then slide a 3/4-inch hole saw over the 1/2 -inch one. The 1/2-inch hole saw acts as a pilot to the 3/4-inch hole saw.
