Coming back from NECA 2025 Chicago, I am filled with pride, energy and excitement for what lies ahead in our industry. This year’s NECA Convention and Trade Show brought together an incredible gathering of NECA member contractors, trades educators and instructors, exhibitors, industry partners and enthusiasts, and guests. Together, we built one of the strongest conventions in our association’s history and powerful momentum that will carry us into the future.

The trade show floor was nothing short of extraordinary, filled with cutting-edge technology, new solutions and world-class exhibitors showcasing the very best our industry has to offer. The education sessions provided the insights and tools our contractors need to lead with confidence, while the keynote speakers inspired us with powerful lessons on leadership, perseverance and vision. From the basketball wisdom of Scottie Pippen to the timeless storytelling of Henry Winkler, messages of teamwork and determination in the face of adversity are something we all can relate to. The landmark Labor Relations Leadership Fireside Chat featuring NECA CEO David Long and IBEW International President Kenny Cooper discussing the state of our industry and trends we’re seeing moving forward was a valuable update every single one of us needed. We witnessed the strength that comes from collaboration, innovation and shared purpose.

NECA 2025 Chicago was more than a convention—it was a statement about where our industry is heading. It was a reminder that the work we do as electrical contractors is vital and that, by working together, we are building stronger businesses and a powerful future for our communities and our nation.

I want to thank everyone who joined us in Chicago. Your energy, your ideas and your passion are what make this industry thrive. The relationships built, the knowledge gained and the innovations shared at NECA 2025 Chicago will continue to fuel our momentum long after the convention hall lights have dimmed.

I look forward to continuing this journey together as we take the inspiration of Chicago and turn it into action. And I look forward to seeing you all in Las Vegas to celebrate NECA’s 125th anniversary of leading the electrical industry.
