bott Smartvan has announced the SmartStow Partition, its latest and most innovative addition to their line of work van storage. With the driver’s safety and comfort in mind, Bott has worked with the innovative minds at Snoeks Automotive to develop a partition and bulkhead combination that elevates the separation barrier between the cabin and cargo area to be more than just a partition and maximize the storage capacity of every available inch in the vehicle. Integrated with modular racking, the partition and bulkhead combo maximizes storage in space that typically goes unused. This allows the driver and passenger to experience maximum comfort in the van’s cab while keeping tools and materials easily within reach from the side door.
The partition is made with Snoeks Automotive’s Compax material, a durable thermoplastic made sustainably with 40% recycled PET plastic. The Compax partition has gone through rigorous testing, both in the United States and near Snoeks HQ in the Netherlands. The soft-touch surface in the cabin of the van perfectly blends in with the van’s interior. The snug vehicle-specific fit provides maximum comfort, keeping down the rattling sounds from the cargo in the back and maintaining the temperature in the cab.
The bulkhead storage is modular and available in three options: all shelves, all perfo panels or a combination of the two. The sides and top of the bulkhead are also lined with perfo panels, so the entire space can be fully loaded with perfo accessories ranging from hooks and clips for cables and brooms to a Tiltbox holder for hardware or small parts, a shop towel holder, a hose holder, and more. The tools and materials stored and transported here are especially easy to access from the passenger side sliding door of the vehicle.
Just like the rest of bott Smartvan’s van racking, the SmartStow Partition is designed to install without drilling any new holes into the vehicle. The bulkhead comes with brackets that extend the fixing points to factory-made holes in the van.
The most important purpose a partition serves is to protect the driver and passenger from potential projectiles in the event of a collision. This durable partition, despite its lightweight composition and drill-free installation, is a safe solution and has been crash-tested in a U.S. facility to ECE R17 standards.
