A full life features many milestones and firsts. One that is quickly approaching for me is NECA 2019 Las Vegas on Sept. 14-17 at Mandalay Bay. As a National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) member, I have joined my teammates at Rosendin Electric in participating in the association’s annual convention and trade show and have greatly benefited from it over the years. The NECA Show is the largest and most unique event in electrical construction, and it is clear to me that only there can you experience invaluable learning and networking opportunities from the most diverse group of contractors and experts in the electrical industry. This event is your best chance to hear about the latest trends, so you can grow your businesses.

At NECA 2019 Las Vegas, you can take part in continuing education geared to your specific needs and connect with the manufacturers, distributors and service providers on which you rely in a whole new way. You will also gain the finest and most exclusive first-hand industry knowledge in the shortest amount of time. That means fewer days away from the office, lower travel costs and an immediate return on your investment. I also have found the NECA Show to be the best event where I can source the newest products and services available. Thanks to this truly amazing event, you will find it easy to discover new ways to streamline efficiencies and improve your company’s bottom line.

Every year, the bar is raised on the quality of information presented at the NECA Show, and this year’s event in Las Vegas will continue the trend. There is plenty new to get excited about, and there will be some returning favorites as well. You can expect a wide range of learning opportunities at the trade show, which includes Presentation Theater and TECHTOPIA, a returning exhibit designed to be the place for everything digital and disruptive. Along with our many free technical workshops, we have added a Leadership and Technology Systems Integration workshop that will take place on the show floor.

Finally, I am especially proud of a unique charitable effort occurring during our time in Las Vegas. This year, NECA Gives Back will have a silent auction that will provide financial help to the Shade Tree, the only 24-hour accessible shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of women and women with children in the region. It is the largest shelter of its kind in the great state of Nevada.

I hope you will make the trip to Las Vegas this September. NECA is going to put on a phenomenal show in what is surely one of the brightest and most quickly expanding entertainment centers of the world. As a proud electrical contractor who has attended this very special event many times over the years, and now for the first time as NECA president, I look forward to seeing you all there!
