Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Larry Beltramo, and I have been elected president of the National Electrical Contractors Association. I am an executive with Rosendin, a nationwide contractor based in California.
On April 1, David Long joined the NECA staff as incoming CEO. David is tremendously passionate about NECA and the services we deliver while being equally committed to furthering our vision and maximizing our organization’s potential. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our executive committee and support David, our staff and members during my term.
Starting with some very encouraging news, our association recently held the Women In NECA Leadership Summit and the Future Leaders Conference in San Antonio. This is a fantastic platform for networking and learning, and many inspiring stories came out of these meetings. The results we can achieve are truly amazing when we gather together some of the best and brightest people in our industry. It is imperative that contractors recruit, develop and empower women and young people, like the ones I meet around the country, to keep the industry innovative and strong.
Our association is the pre-eminent voice of our dynamic industry and remains an important support base for contractors. To ensure NECA’s future continues to shine brightly, it is important for contractors to be politically active. We must encourage all industry stakeholders to be involved as well. On that note, the 2019 National Legislative Conference and Political Leadership Council Summit will take place on April 29–30 in Washington, D.C. As a leading legislative summit in the United States, it is designed to give attendees the chance to learn about the major issues facing their companies, interact with people working hard to advance the industry, and be heard by the policymakers who can make a meaningful difference. There is still time to register and support this event. I hope to see you there and look forward to meeting more great people from NECA.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve NECA.
