Everywhere You Look

The National Electrical Contractors Association’s vision is to empower lives and communities every day. NECA’s Executive Committee adapted that statement in January after reviewing our Vision 2020 Task Force’s findings, which were the result of assessing our industry’s future and understanding NECA’s alignment. We know NECA members influence our world through their work, and they should be incredibly proud of the positive impact they have on our cities.

All of us can drive through our communities and see NECA members’ imprint on hospitals, traffic signals, communications, power lines, stadiums, commercial facilities and homes. To that end, one of many privileges of serving in NECA leadership is witnessing our collective commitment to excellence and how it shapes people’s lives.

To spotlight the exceptional effort, professionalism and ingenuity contractor members exhibit around the country, NECA started the Project Excellence Awards in 2017. After the resounding success of the first awards, we are now accepting submissions for this year’s awards until April 30, 2018. Awards are based on numerous market sectors and include both electrical and technology projects—both over and under $1 million—that were completed in 2017. Single contractor or joint-venture projects performed by NECA contractors are acceptable. You can learn more about the process at www.projectexcellenceawards.org.

The winners will be recognized at NECA 2018 National Convention in Philadelphia. Please take the time to demonstrate your company’s impact to our communities across America, so we can celebrate how you have empowered lives in our society.
