Schneider Electric Web Site Offers Resources for Growth

The Schneider Electric Advantage portal is a new Web site for electrical contracting firms to access resources designed to help grow their business. Resources available include marketing tools, education and training courses, and product and service information for all the brands under Schneider Electric’s name. All content is designed to aid electrical contractors to better penetrate their market, compete for available work and increase sales.

“The Schneider Electric Advantage portal is designed to empower electrical contractors and help them grow their businesses by cultivating more sales opportunities,” said Melissa Golden, Schneider Electric Electrical Contractor segment manager.

The Marketing Tools section of The Schneider Electric Advantage portal provides access to professionally designed and customizable collateral and promotional materials at a lower cost than contractors would typically pay on their own. For example, customizable postcards are available for a member contractor to order and use to target the owners of older homes who may need to consider upgrading their electrical distribution or homeowners who are considering remodeling. Other customizable collateral and promotional materials include vehicle decals, presentation folders, yard signs, door hangers and electrical distribution brochures. Contractors can customize promotional items, such as shirts and hats, with their logo. The marketing tools section also hosts resources designed to help member contractors better market their business and improve customer relations.

The Schneider Electric Advantage portal also provides training and education resources through online eLearning education modules on a variety of topics, including business development, product training and electricity fundamentals. That includes the recently launched energy efficiency education module, which provides information on a wide variety of energy-saving strategies for commercial, industrial and residential installations; and a selective coordination module, which details recent changes to National Electrical Code that require selective coordination for overcurrent devices in all critical-operation power systems. Instructor-led courses also are available in the training and education resources area.

Members of the site will find information about Schneider Electric brand products, services and solutions, including technical documents and bulletins, troubleshooting tips, white papers, Web casts and more, available throughout the portal. Member benefits also include prelaunch information on new Schneider Electric products.
