ADI Secures the Perimeter

According to SecurityInfoWatch, ADI recently held its Outdoor Perimeter Protection Week, inviting systems integrators and security dealers to attend training sessions at retail branches. The security product distributor offered industry professionals a look at some of their newest intrusion detection technologies and outdoor security solutions.

Demonstrated was the company's new Piramid XL2 Outdoor Motion Sensor, which features technology designed to limit false alarms. The product allows users to control the range of the sensor and determine how far an intruder must move to trigger an alarm. The unit can also be integrated with a video surveillance system, activating an event-driven closed-circuit system. Also demonstrated was the Tattletale portable alarm, which ADI officials said is perfect for securing construction sites and portable materials, such as copper and wire spools. One ADI branch manager said that video-surveillance and home entertainment system security products are both selling well, even though the economy is struggling.
