Foundation provides support to Naval Special Warfare community and their families

San Jose, CA (June 7, 2019) – Rosendin, the electrical contracting industry’s largest employee-owned firm, raised upwards of $200,000 for the Naval Special Warfare Community and its families at their fourth annual golf tournament benefitting the Navy SEAL Foundation. More than 300 golfers and 70 corporate sponsors sold-out the annual fundraiser held May 22 at the Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach, Calif.

Retired Rear Admiral Kerry Metz delivered the keynote speech focusing on the importance of partnership and community for active duty and retired service people. Multiple Navy SEALs were in attendance and shared their experiences, including retired Navy SEAL Shane McKenzie. The Navy SEAL Foundation’s Wall of Honor of fallen Navy SEALs was on display to serve as a remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

“At Rosendin we have numerous employees who are also Veterans, so a partnership with the Navy SEAL Foundation just makes sense,” said David Lincoln, VP of Rosendin’s Renewable Energy Group and NSF Committee Member. “Rosendin is proud to organize this annual golf tournament benefitting the Navy SEAL Foundation for the fourth year running, resulting in a total of over $1 million raised since we started this partnership.”

The Marine Corp Color Guard kicked off the event with the Presentation of Colors, followed by the Newport Harbor High School Choir and drumline leading in the singing of the National Anthem.

“We are so grateful to Rosendin and everyone who took part to help the Navy SEAL Foundation continue its projects assisting veterans and their families,” said Mark Kendall, Committee Chairman for the Navy SEAL Foundation. “By working together with partners like Rosendin, the Navy SEAL Foundation can provide comprehensive programs that empower and educate families and give support during times of illness, injury, loss, and transition.”

Built on an unparalleled legacy and established in 2000, the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF) is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, national, non-profit benevolent organization headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA.

A silent auction and raffle helped drive support, along with generous donations from corporate sponsors for tournament awards, meals and beverages, and cigar bar. Corporate sponsors included Sunbelt Rentals, United Rentals, Birdi & Associates, Inc., Performance Lighting Systems, Main Electric Supply Co., and sPower.
