I see a trend in news headlines reporting the reduction of city budgets and personnel. Fire departments have especially become resource-challenged.

, At Lions Gate Secondary Wastewater Treatment Plant in Vancouver, Regenesis worked with city officials, the design team, contractors and community members. The plant is expected to break ground between 2017 and 2020., The Vale Living with Lakes Centre for Applied Research in Environmental Restoration and Sustainability in Sunbury, Ontario, incorporates energy-reduction features, including a ground- source heat pump, hydronic radiant floor heating, passive heating and cooling, solar domestic water heating, and energy-efficient lighting and appliances.  , Regenerative design was a goal at Vancouver’s VanDusen Botanical Garden. The Living Building Visitor Centre, shown here, takes cues from the outdoor space (below). Built to be net-zero energy on an annual basis, the center features solar hot-water tubes, PV panels and a geo-exchange system.
