Disaster After the Disaster—Electrical Contractor Makes New Orleans News

In May 2006, Electrical Contractor published a story titled "Disaster After the Disaster?" covering the rush to rebuild in New Orleans after Huricane Katrina swept through. The city suspended inspection requirements, which sparked safety concerns. Watch the local WDSU-TV segment as it aired, featuring John Maisel and local contractor Jude Raspuno of Stuart Electric. The report may date back a few years, but the issue is still relevant today. As News Anchor Norman Robinson notes at the end of the segment, "This is a subject that will probably be discussed for some time to come."
