McCormick Systems User’s Conference is set for April 2-5 in Tempe, Ariz. The event brings dozens of contractors and estimators together to talk with each other, speak with McCormick staff, and listen to presentations. Two full days of educational sessions are scheduled.

“Take-Off Tricks & Tips” is one session’s title. Take-offs can take up to 75% of a typical estimator’s time.

“We will help our users learn to bend our software to their own—maybe unique—method of doing take-offs,” said Todd McCormick, president of McCormick Systems. “Contractors want more-productive estimating. Each estimator can fine-tune our software to help ratchet up his/her own individual performance.”

Other agenda items for the conference include the following:

  • Presentations from Autodesk Subcontractor, NetPricer, and Trade Service – software providers whose products interface with McCormick’s system.

  • Copious details on the most recent software update (Version 9.0);

  • Using the software to boost project management productivity; and

  • Interfaces with accounting software, use of the built-in proposal sheet, security issues and more.
