If you rarely bend conduit or do it only occasionally on your job, here is an idea that can save you a large scrap pile and a lot of ribbing. Before bending your conduit, simply take a piece of moldable wire (No. 10) and simulate the bend with your wire the way the bender will make it. This can show you how your offset or kick will end up before you place it in the bender and bend it the wrong direction. Using this technique, you can avoid headaches and extra work.
