Cooper Announces SOURCE Winners

Cooper Lighting, Peachtree City, Ga., announced the winners of the 31st annual SOURCE Awards lighting design competition at Lightfair International 2008 on May 27, 2008.

Top honors in the Professional Commercial Category went to Randy Sabedra of RS Lighting Design, Brooklyn, N.Y., for relighting of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House in New York. In addition, the design team of Robert Singer, Justin Streeb and Elise Hagan of Robert Singer & Associates, Basalt, Colo., won in the Professional Residential Category for the Crystal Lake residence in Aspen. The team also got an honorable mention award for the lighting design of the Aspen Club residence.

Ross McCoy from Kansas State University picked up the winning honor for his conceptual lighting design of the Elements Asian Grill restaurant. McCoy was under the direction of Neal Hubbell, associate professor and associate department head for the Department of Interior Architecture and Product Design.
