Camera > Bosch Security Systems Inc.’s ZX55 infrared imager is a long-range camera that provides powerful night imaging solution for critical outdoor surveillance applications. Available in IP and analog, it captures detailed scenes up to 1,000 feet in total darkness, making it ideal for perimeter surveillance, critical asset monitoring and force protection applications. Users can monitor long stretches of perimeter with a wide-angle field of view or to narrow the scene to a particular asset or section of perimeter. Using Black Diamond infrared illumination technology and a 9–90 mm varifocal, IR-corrected lens, the ZX55 captures the details needed to distinguish facial features at distances of up to 350 feet and delivers full detection, classification, recognition and identification capabilities.
Intrusion Detector > RISCO Group USA’s industrial LuNAR addressable dual-technology ceiling-mount intrusion detector combines detection accuracy with false alarm immunity. It can be installed up to 28 feet high and has anti-cloak technology to detect intruder camouflage attempts. It incorporates three independently adjustable photo infrared (PIR) channels for customized coverage, along with a microwave channel. Intelligent digital signal processing adjusts alarm threshold and pulse count verification to accommodate actual intruder behavior and environmental factors.
Sounder Base > System Sensor’s B200SR Intelligent Sounder Bases support the System Sensor synchronization protocol, enabling them to be used as part of the general evacuation signal. They are intended for use in new and existing dwelling unit applications. The base connects to the mounting plate for a surface-mount look, with no exposed components. The base’s mounting screws are then covered by the attached sensor head, providing increased tamper prevention and a cleaner look.
Software > Knowledge Vector’s KVI software suite captures data from real-time sensors, sends alerts to appropriate responders replacing dated security sensors and eliminates the need for multiple security personnel. It is useful for critical infrastructure locations, such as universities, business campuses and any area with a diverse network of sensor systems. It creates actionable, purposed and integrated intelligence that is then used to manage the appropriate situational response.
Perimeter Security Detector > Seco-Larm’s Multi-Frequency Twin Photobeam Detector has four selectable beam frequencies to reduce interference between multiple units for enhanced perimeter protection. Twin beams provide reliable perimeter security, minimizing false alarms from falling leaves, birds, etc. Lensed optics reinforce beam strength and provide excellent immunity to false alarms due to rain, snow mist etc. It has a weatherproof, sunlight-filtering case for indoor and outdoor use and an anti-frost system so the beam functions even in extreme conditions. It has automatic input power filtering with special noise rejection circuitry and non-polarized power inputs.
Camera > Toshiba’s IK-WB70A outdoor IP network bullet camera has a rugged weatherproof IP66-rated housing that protects it from rain, dust and extreme environments and is purpose-engineered for 24-hour video surveillance of detail-sensitive outdoor applications. By integrating weatherproofing, the IK-WB70A is a complete network video solution that operates without the need for additional accessories. It comes equipped with day-night imaging and IR illuminators that extend visibility up to 49 feet in complete darkness, as well as a wide dynamic range CMOS 1/3.3-inch sensor to cope with high-contrast lighting conditions.
Control Panel > Notifier, part of the Honeywell Life Safety Group, ONYX Series of intelligent fire alarm control panels—NFS-320 (restaurants, strip malls and standalone retail facilities), NFS2-640 (office buildings, assisted living facilities and school buildings), and NFS2-3030 (high-rises, hospitals, shopping malls, and airports)—feature FlashScan intelligent device polling protocol combined with ONYX Intelligent Sensing technology which ensure a fast response to smoke and heat conditions while substantially reducing nuisance alarms. Panels offer built-in synchronization protocol and can network together via the NOTI•FIRE•NET intelligent fire alarm network.
