ONVIF-compliant, it supports H.264 and MJPEG compression methods, providing the option to simultaneously transmit images to multiple locations at various frame rates, including 1.3 megapixel (1,280-by-1,024), 16:9HD (1,280-by-720), QVGA (320-by-240), SVGA (800-by-600) and VGA (640-by-480). Multiple users can monitor live images at one location, record video evidence at another, or view live and recorded images on a smartphone. Additional features include four programmable motion-detection zones, 12 programmable privacy zones and PoE capability.
FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL—Edwards’ Vigilant VM-1 is a complete fire alarm control panel with user interface designed for midsize buildings. It has a Class A or Class B intelligent device loop standard, optional second loop; 24-line-by-40-character backlit LCD capable of displaying eight events; optional voice evacuation and firefighters’ phone; Form C relays (alarm, trouble and supervisory); electronic addressing with automatic device mapping; 10A power supply with universal 94 to 264V AC input voltage, and four onboard NACs. It is networkable up to eight VM control panels monitoring 4,000 intelligent points and supports system-wide strobe synchronization and up to 30 R-Series remote annunciators. It is available with a red or silver front.
DOOR OPERATOR—Yale Locks & Hardware’s 3800 series low-energy power operator is designed to automate interior, nonfire-rated doors and can be operated manually or activated by wall switches or radio frequency devices to provide easy access that meets ADA requirements. Applications include restroom doors in retail/restaurant facilities and office doors for executive or doctors’ offices. Features include pull-side mounting; electrically controlled backcheck, sweep and latch; electric hardware and access control interface; and onboard 24V DC (1.1A) power supply for accessories.
FIELDBUS CONTROLLER—Wago’s 750-880 Ethernet 2.0 programmable fieldbus controller offers two Ethernet interfaces with an integrated switch to simplify networking in line topologies, and it supports standard Ethernet network protocols, MODBUS/TCP and Ethernet/IP. It is able to process 1,000 instructions in 230 microseconds, transferring device parameters, boot files or other file types between controllers.
USB CONTROLLER—Southco’s EA-A06 USB controller allows the independent, computer-controlled operation of up to 14 different electromechanical latch inputs/outputs and other devices when connected to a standard computer USB port and enables the user to track/record access to electronic locks. Maximum current per output: 2A; operating voltage: 12–24V DC; USB cable 2.0.
VDV CABLE STRIPPER—Klein Tools’ VDV coaxial combination radial stripper works on both standard and utility size cables including RG-6, RG-6-QS, RG-59, RG-11 and RG-7. It strips two levels (outer jacket and dielectric) in one step. Features designed to take the guesswork out of repeatable cable end preparation include a sliding depth gauge and high-carbon steel cutting blades that automatically adjust to different cable diameters.
FO TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER—Extron Electronics’ FOXBOX HDMI fiber optic transmitter and receiver set is designed for long-haul transmission of HDCP-compliant HDMI video, audio and RS-232 control signals over fiber optic cabling. It includes key minder, EDID minder, auto input memory, RS-232 control from multiple locations, internal test patterns and real-time system monitoring. It is available in multimode and single-mode models.
