LIOS Technology’s De.Tect LHD3 linear heat detector for quick fire detection among optical fibers comes with ranges up to 10 km per channel. It has an alarm and pre-alarm for each zone based on selectable criteria. The signal processing is based on optical frequency domain reflectometry and is available with one, two and four channels with 1,000 free programmable zones for each channel.
