Webinar Archived: Exploring Options for AFCI Protection in the NEC

On Thursday, May 22, 2014, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR and Leviton hosted a webinar for continuing education about solutions to help make homes safer and compliant with the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC) updates. The archive is now available.

As the latest iteration of the NEC continues to adapt and promote the use of arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) devices, we guide you through what you need to know to meet code changes. The webinar highlights the issues with arc-faults—what they are, how they are caused and the types—and demonstrates what AFCI protection in homes is readily available. We also introduce the latest solution to help prevent arc-faults: the AFCI receptacle.
