In the on-going patent disputes between Arlington Industries Inc. and Bridgeport Fittings, Arlington motioned for contempt of court on March 19, 2013, stating that Bridgeport Fittings violated the court's permanent injunction by selling its 38ASP and 380SP Whipper-Snap Connectors. The District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania found in favor of Arlington. In granting Arlington’s motion for contempt, the Court ordered Bridgeport to stop making, selling or offering for sale its 38ASP and 380SP Whipper-Snap Connectors until 2018, when Arlington’s ‘488 patent expires.
