McCormick Educates Users at Annual Conference

Published: May 2007

McCormick Systems' annual user's conference generally informs attendees of its basic software package's "extras." As with Microsoft's Word, it's estimated most users only take advantage of 10 to 20 percent of the program's capabilities.

That is why McCormick Systems earns attention at its conferences: Users like to see what the program can really do.

This year, McCormick System's focused on the program's proposal sheet feature. The ability to print a proposal sheet right from the estimating software solves the problem of transcribing numbers from the estimating software to the proposal sheet, which typically can result in errors.

McCormick is taking advantage of a basic principle: People use the programs they know. If the company can educate its users, they may ensure a loyal following.   EC
